Help & FAQ
Everything you need to know about exploring and listing on roadside.market.
1. What is roadside.market?
roadside.market is a community-driven map built to connect local buyers with nearby farmstands, farmers markets, and fresh producers. Find fresh produce, honey, eggs, flowers, baked goods, and more right from local farms in your area.
2. How do I add a farmstand to the map?
Anyone can add a farmstand! Click the "+" (Add Location) button on the bottom console. Drop a pin on the map at the exact stand location, fill out the stand name, category, payment options, and operating hours, then submit.
3. How do I claim ownership of my stand?
If you own or manage a stand listed on the map, open the stand's detail card and click "Claim this Stand". Once verified, you'll be able to manage inventory, update operating hours, send announcements, and join Farmers Markets as a vendor.
4. How do Farmers Markets work?
Farmers Markets host multiple vendors in one place. Market hosts can create a Farmers Market listing, and vendors can apply to join markets. Visitors can view the entire vendor directory and market schedules.
5. What are Vendor Business Profiles?
If you run a local farm or artisan business that participates in markets but doesn't own a fixed physical farmstand, you can create a Business Profile from the User Menu to apply to markets and display your business story.
6. How do updates and alerts work?
Stand owners can broadcast recent updates (e.g., "Fresh strawberries picked this morning!", "Closed early due to weather"). You can open the Alerts Feed from the top bar to view recent announcements within your radius.
7. Using Trail Mode & The Passport
Explore curated trails of local farmstands and markets! Visit stands on your trail, check in upon arrival to earn passport stamps, and complete trails to unlock special achievement badges.
